Wings ink Glendening to three-year extension

DETROIT >> The Wings locked up one of their youngsters for the next three seasons when they inked rookie forward Luke Glendening to a three-year contract extension.

The deal has an average salary-cap hit of $628,333.

Glendening will earn $610,000 next season and then $600,000 and $675,000 in each of the following two seasons.

He’s making $575,000 this season.

In 51 games this season, has six assists and 16 penalty minutes.
