Wings heading back to Traverse City for camp

DETROIT — The Detroit Red Wings will be heading back to Centre ICE Arena in Traverse City for training camp nest season.

The club will also holds it annual prospects camp

The Wings will conduct their first practice on Sept. 12 and will continue to run daily through Sept. 18.

They will open things up with their 14th Training Camp Golf Classic on Sept. 11 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.

The NHL Prospects Tournament will include eight NHL teams playing four games per day, Sept. 5-9, marking the 15th season for the tournament in Traverse City, which has produced over 350 prospects who have gone on to play in the NHL.

The eight teams scheduled to participate include the Wings, Buffalo, Carolina, Columbus, Dallas, Minnesota, New York Rangers and St. Louis.
