Ericsson having tests on hit, not shoulder; Huskins flying into Detroit today and Wings hope he plays tonight

DETROIT – Defenseman Jonathan Ericsson will have tests done on his hip today after stepping on a puck late in practice Sunday in Columbus.

It was originally thought it may have been his shoulder that was injured because of how he fell into the boards.

Also, Kent Huskins is flying into Detroit today and the team hopes to have the paperwork done so he can play tonight against the Dallas Stars.

Huskins will sign a one-year, one-way deal worth $750,000.
