PLYMOUTH – Quick update from Day 2 of Red Wings training camp at Compuware Arena.
Forward Mikael Samuelsson is not on the ice dealing with a tender groin.
Forward Darren Helm is also missing and won’t practice Tuesday or take part in the Red and White scrimmage Tuesday night.
There is no timetable on when Helm will be back. Wings general manager Ken Holland said, “It all depends how he feels.”
Forward Pavel Datsyuk is on his way back from Russia.
The forward lines look like this — Zetterberg, Brunner, Mursak; Knuble, Filppula, Franzen; Abdelkader, Bertuzzi, Cleary; Tootoo, Miller, Emmerton with Eaves working in.
Defensemen pairings — Kronwall, Ericsson; Smith, Quincey; White, Kindl; Colaiacovo, Lashoff.
