DETROIT — The Wings signed Teemu Pulkkinen to a three-year entry level contract.

Selected by Detroit in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Pulkkinen has spent the past two seasons with Jokerit Helsinki of the Finnish Elite League, totaling 94 points (35G-59A) in 126 appearances. The 5’10”, 194-lb. winger has also represented Finland at several international events, finishing in the top 10 in scoring at both the 2011 and 2012 IIHF World Junior Championships (13GP-9G-10A-19P combined total). At the 2010 IIHF World U-18 Championships in Belarus, Pulkkinen led the tournament in scoring with 15 points (10G-5A) in six games as the Finns repeated as bronze medalists.
