Franzen suffers broken nose in Sweden’s loss to Russia

A second Red Wing has suffered an injury at the World Championships, this time it was Johan Franzen.

Franzen broke his nose in Sweden’s 7-3 loss to Russia after he was crosschecked by Dmitri Kalinin with 14:14 left in the game. Kalinin received s match penalty for the incident.

Jonathan Ericsson was hit on the backside with a puck during Sweden’s opening game last week and has not played since.
