DETROIT — “If I’m (first in the West) I put a ton on it, if I’m not, then I put nothing on it,” Wings coach Mike Babcock said. “The bottom line is you are where you are and you’ve got to get in and get going. We perceive ourselves as having a chance. You only get so many in life. You want to make good on the ones you get.”
The Wings were one point up on Vancouver heading into play Friday. The Canucks, who have played one less game than Detroit, play Columbus tonight.
