Wings goalie decision won’t come till Monday

DETROIT — Wings general manager Ken Holland said the team won’t make a decision what goalie will be sent to Grand Rapids until Monday at the earliest.

Joey MacDonald has started the last six games for the Wings and has won five of those starts. He has a 1.61 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage.

Ty Conklin would have to clear waivers in order to be assigned to Grand Rapids. Conklin started the first game after Jimmy Howard fractured his index finger and lasted all of one period before giving way to MacDonald.

Conklin is 3-5-0 this season with a 3.40 GAA and .878 save percentage.
