DETROIT — Jimmy Howard had this take on Datsyuk’s game-winning goal Friday off assists from Henrik Zetterberg and Nicklas Lidstrom.
“I was getting nice and comfy for overtime,” Howard said. “I was getting my couch already getting ready for the long haul.
“What a great play by all three players,” Howard added. “Nick, the pass from Z and Pav, he’s dangerous as we see every single night. Whether he’s lying on the ice he’s got the puck on a string. He really doesn’t surprise me, he’s just such a good player.”
