Datsyuk, Commodore game-time decisions

DETROIT — Quick update from Thursday’s morning skate at Joe Louis Arena.

Forward Pavel Datsyuk and defenseman Mike Commodore will be game-time decisions for tonight’s game against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Datsyuk missed Tuesday’s game against the New York Islanders with an undisclosed injury.

Jan Mursak, who’s back from a conditioning stint in Grand Rapids, will take Datsyuk’s spot in the lineup.

Commodore dressed as a seventh defenseman against the Islanders but did not play. He took a shot off the inside of his right ankle in Sunday’s win against Chicago.

Jakub Kindl will play if Commodore can’t go.
