MacLean lands Senators job

DETROIT — TSN.ca is reporting that Wings assistant Paul MacLean will be introduced as the next Ottawa Senators head coach on Tuesday.

Mike Babcock has now lost two assistants in less than a month.

MacLean, who has ties with Senators general manager Bryan Murray, had been a Wings assistant under Babcock for the past six seasons.

Brad McCrimmon and the team parted ways last month.

MacLean, 53, had his second interview with Ottawa over the weekend. This will be his first head coaching job in the NHL.
