Stuart will play tonight; Rafalski says he’ll be back Wednesday

DETROIT – Defenseman Brad Stuart tested his sore ankle during the morning skate and he feels he can play tonight against the Edmonton Oilers.

That means Doug Janik, who was recalled on Thursday from Grand Rapids in case Stuart couldn’t play, will join his Griffins teammates in Oklahoma City for theri game tonight.

“I understand the reality of my situation,” Janik said after the morning skate. “You never know what’s going to happen.”

Defenseman Brian Rafalski (back) skated again this morning and said that he continues to feel better everyday on the ice. He plays to return on Wednesday at home against the Washington Capitals.
